Rudolph William Louis Giuliani III or Rudy Giuliani, as he is known in the close quarters and to the media is by profesion a venerated American Lawyer. He is also a Prosecutor, Businesman and a Politican with his affiliation to the Republicn Party representing the state of New York.
Hailing from an impoverished background and taking birth to working class parents Harold Angel Giuliani and Helen C. D'Avanzo, both alos escended from Italian Immigrants had to face a lot of hardships while excelling in his career path. To pursue education hegot admitted in the Manhattan College in Riveerdale, where from he graduated in 1965. it was followed by his attending the New York University School of Law in Manhattan graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctor in 1968.
His carrer path started moving up with his joining the Office of the US attoreny in 1970. In 1973, he was named Chief of the Narcotics Unit and was elevated to as Executive US Attorney. In 1975, Giuliani he was recruited to the Washington D.C. where he was named as Associate Deputy Attorney General and Chief of staff to the Deputy Attorney General. It was around this time when he had his first high-profile prosecution of Congressman Bertram Podell, convicted of corruption. However, eventually he became a popular figure in the role of an esteemed United States Attorney while prosecuting medium/high-profile cases that included cases against the highly professional netwrok of organized crime and the famous tax evader Marc Rich. He has also served for two terms as the Hon’ble Mayor of the New York City (1994–2001). It wah then, when he was termed by the media as a successful administrator for his role in improving the city's quality of life along with a steady reduction in crime. It was the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 episode in the history of New York along with the United States that he earned the national attention for his appearances in the media. It was this that led him to be nominated for the Time’s 2001 Person of the Year and be knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. His high media profile in the days following the attacks truly earned him the nickname "America's Mayor."
In February 2007 Giuliani was found filing a statement of candidacy on behalf of the Republican Party’s nomination for the Presidential Campaign in 2008. the polling indications in the early 2007 projected him as the leading candidate for the nomination.
